Disability Employment Awareness Month is about raising awareness about the importance of inclusive workplaces. It serves as a platform to celebrate the achievements of disabled employees and highlight the benefits of diverse and inclusive work environments. Companies can tap into a wider talent pool and perspectives by creating a work environment that values diversity, leading to increased innovation and problem-solving capabilities. Additionally, inclusive hiring practices help break down stigmas surrounding disabilities and promote a more inclusive society.
For an advocate like myself, every month is disability employment month. Recognizing and celebrating disability employment is crucial to raising awareness and promoting equal opportunities for individuals. It is essential for companies to continuously prioritize inclusive hiring practices and provide necessary accommodations to ensure a supportive work environment for all employees.
I have always been passionate about promoting inclusive, equal, and equitable opportunities for individuals with disabilities. As someone who has faced and overcome challenges, sharing my experiences can inspire others and shed light on the importance of creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. By sharing my personal story, I encourage employers to recognize the valuable contributions individuals with disabilities can make in the workplace. I believe that showcasing the success and positive impact of inclusive hiring practices can help break down barriers and stereotypes surrounding disability in the workplace. Everyone should have equal and equitable opportunities to thrive and succeed in their chosen careers.

I have spent the last five years working professionally as a Social Media Content Developer. When I began my self-discovery career in social media, It wasn’t until 2018 that someone recognized my talent and passion. That person was the founder of Progressive Abilities Support Services, which focuses on building a community dedicated to bringing action to the ideals of equality and equity in our society. They worked with me to create a platform where I could network and interact with others fighting the same battle. This organization, which I'm proud to be a part of, allowed me to understand that my personal struggle was part of something bigger. Through my involvement with Progressive Abilities Support Services, I found a supportive community and discovered the power of collective action. Together, we strive to create meaningful change and advocate for equal opportunities for all individuals. This experience has empowered me; I can amplify my voice and make a lasting impact on the lives of those facing similar challenges. Through Progressive Abilities Support Services, I have found a sense of purpose and a renewed determination to fight for a more inclusive world.
