A Prayer for Passion and Purpose

God, it's your girl again... no, this isn't about the world being on fire or the guy.
Some days I wake up with a clear vision and a messy bun, ready to take on the world. Other days, I’m just hoping the coffee kicks in before the doubt does. But through it all, you’re there, steady, patient, watching me learn how to build something that matters.
Thank You for the fire You tucked inside me. The kind that doesn’t always glow pretty but still burns true. Help me protect it when I’m tired, when I overthink, when the world tells me to tone it down. Because you and I both know, I was never built for quiet.

Some days, the fire feels strong; it lights up everything I touch. On other days, it flickers small and stubborn, trying to survive the wind. But even in those moments, it’s still burning. And that’s enough.
When the work feels heavy and the to-do list wins, remind me that purpose doesn’t have to be perfect. just honest. Let me find You in the chaos: in the undone hair, the late nights, the little victories no one sees but You.
Teach me to rest without guilt. To speak with grace but still with grit. To keep creating even when it’s uncomfortable, and to remember that passion is a form of praise, every time I use what You gave me to lift somebody else.
Remind me that passion isn’t perfection. Its presence. It’s the courage to keep showing up when the spark feels dim and the world feels loud.
And when I start doubting the path, whisper that this is what we’re building together, a life that burns with meaning, not noise.

IN OTHER WORDS:
Thank You for the fire inside me, even when it burns messy and wild. Some days I wake up ready to take on the world, and other days I need strength to start.
Help me protect my passion when I’m tired and trust my purpose when it’s quiet. Remind me that it doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real.
Teach me to rest without guilt, to speak with grace and grit, and to find You in the small moments that no one else sees.
Keep me brave, humble, and grounded, and remind me that every bit of my fire comes from You.
Amen.
MEDITATION:
Close your eyes and breathe for a minute.
Feel that steady beat inside your chest?
That’s not just your heart.
That’s your calling — humming, waiting, daring you to listen.
See, passion doesn’t play small.
It doesn’t wait to be invited to the table — it is the table.
It shows up wearing confidence like lip gloss, unbothered by who thinks it’s “too much.”
Because passion doesn’t ask for permission.
It shows up unannounced and says,
“I’ve got work to do.”
And when you follow that spark, you start to see the difference between passion and purpose.
Passion is the fire; purpose is the direction.
One burns, the other guides.
Together, they build something unstoppable.
Purpose is what keeps you grounded when the applause fades.
It’s what whispers, keep going when the world feels heavy
and no one seems to notice what you’re carrying.
It’s what reminds you that you weren’t made to blend in —
you were made to burn bright in a world that’s gotten too comfortable with dim.
Some days, passion looks glamorous — boss-girl mornings, coffee in hand, ready to conquer the inbox.
Other days, it’s messy bun, stretched T-shirt,
barely keeping it together but still showing up anyway.
Because even a flicker still counts as fire.
There will be seasons when you wonder if your light is enough.
When your dreams feel bigger than your bank account,
and your heart feels heavier than your schedule allows.
But that’s where purpose lives —
in the space between what you’re building
and who you’re becoming.
That spark inside you isn’t random.
It’s proof you’re meant for more.
Every gift, every challenge, every closed door
is shaping the story only you can tell.
You don’t need to explain your passion
to people who were never meant to carry it.
You don’t need to shrink your flame
to make others more comfortable in their shadows.
You were born with fire in your bones for a reason.
The world needs that warmth — that truth — that glow.
So breathe in boldness.
Breathe out fear.
And remind yourself: you’re not chasing your purpose —
you’re walking in it.
One brave, beautifully imperfect step at a time.
Because when passion meets purpose,
it’s not coincidence. It’s calling.
And no storm, no setback, no sideways glance
can take away what was written for you.
You were never built to be quiet.
You were built to blaze.
You were built for the spark. ✨🔥
